Welcome to room 2 Preschool.
This is my 27th year of teaching. The first ten years of my career were spent teaching in Hawaii. Now I teach preschool here in Somerset, MA. My experience in chronological order includes 3 years of working with children with severe special needs, 7 years of teaching in a full-day integrated kindergarten, 1 year working with children specifically on the Autism Spectrum, 5 years of teaching in an integrated pre-k, 11 years in an integrated full-day kindergarten, and now I am back in pre-k. I currently hold a master's degree in education with certifications in moderate special needs, early childhood Pre-K-2 w/ & w/o disabilities, and elementary education. I live with my husband Gerry, daughter Autumn who is in college and daughter Amelia who attends SBRHS, my crazy doggies named Koa & Makani (they are so cute but a little naughty!), 18+ chickens with various names that I can't remember, and a worm farm. My favorite foods are pizza and ice-cream, my favorite color is green, my favorite singers are Bon Jovi and Jack Johnson. I enjoy geocaching, going to concerts, hiking, camping, paddle boarding and kayaking with my family, watching/listening to my daughters perform music and dance hula, and teaching early childhood-age children because it is the best job ever. |
Daily Schedule & our other teachersRemember to wear sneakers on our PE days (C & D).

Snack Time Please send a snack and drink with your child daily. Because our lunch time is during the first lunch block, we will have snack in the afternoon. Our classroom is a nut-free zone. Be sure to read snack labels as snacks may not contain nuts or traces of nuts and cannot be manufactured in a facility that processes peanuts or tree nuts. Student MAY have nut products during lunch in the cafeteria, just NOT during snack time in the classroom.
